Prof (Dr) JC Suri is a trained pulmonologist and a pioneer in sleep medicine and critical care in India. He served as the former head of the Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine department at the Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital for nearly three decades. In this role, he established India’s first clinical sleep lab and the first physician-run ICU in North India. He is a widely acclaimed teacher and orator who established Delhi’s first DM program in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine. As the Founder President of the Indian Sleep Disorders Association, he has dedicated his career to advancing the field of Sleep Medicine in India. He has also served as the Past President of the National College of Chest Physicians and the Vice President of the Asian Society of Sleep Medicine.
